Read the work and select 3 ways they have met the generic success criteria (WWW) and 3 ways they can improve further (EBI). The students have to then write out the target before trying to meet the target. The 20 criteria start with the basics of using P.E.E. to more advanced targets such as exploring more than one interpretation and commenting on the overall structure of the text. They should work with any text.

Student-friendly, double-sided revision cards to cover 6 themes in Macbeth:

Each revision card has 3 sections:
key parts of the play that link to the theme
key quotations linked to each theme
ideas about context/Shakespeare’s purpose for each theme.
The back of the card has space for students to make analytical notes on quotations.

MACBETH 20 KEY EXTRACTS TO ANALYSE
A revision booklet focusing on 20 short key extracts from Macbeth. I have picked the 20 extracts most likely to come up in an examination.
For each extract, students revise the main ideas (A01), select 2 quotations to analyse (A02), and make a link to context (A03).
Also includes questions on every single scene of the play (with answers) to help students recap the plot.
Romeo and Juliet Prologue lesson for low/mid ability
A lesson aimed an understanding and analysing the prologue to Romeo and Juliet. Originally aimed at a relatively low ability group but there are extension tasks on the main activity to stretch the more able. There is a further optional extension worksheet attached.
